Maybe God is wondering why you don't help yourself so he can help you!
A lot of people are searching for the answers to abundant living, but they come up empty. They just seem to miss out. They pour out their heart, "Why won't God help me?"
I believe God wants to help them, but they don't help themselves. Read the 6th Chapter of Mark's Gospel and you'll see how Jesus wanted to help the people, but because they wouldn't help themselves, Jesus couldn't! (Mark 6:1-6).
And then I have to ask myself, "Am I helping myself so God can help me? What do I need to do so God can? Also in Mark's Gospel is a story of a father who helped himself so Jesus could heal his son (Mark 9:21-24).
The key questions becomes, "How does God help those who help themselves," because I firmly believe God can, and I believe very firmly that God wants to help us.
Now if we would only help ourselves, but how do we do that? How do we help ourselves so God can help us?
